Marks & Spencer, Co-Op & Harrods have all suffered high profile cyber attacks in recent weeks.
The Co-Op were lucky enough to avert a major disaster but even so it left them unable to fill their shop shelves. Last week as the dust settles on those incidents Tesco also had an outage. Fortunately this was not a cyber attack, just an issue with its systems.
However it makes us all think about what could happen if hackers managed to get control of something worse. Those of us who have accounts on the M&S website now have to face the fact that our data is now out there being sold on the dark web which leaves us at risk of identity fraud and such like.
